At the request of several innkeepers, this Guide has created a new category of a trail. It’s really not a trail, rather the Bike/Hike-friendly Inns on Back Roads allow the innkeepers to promote the available biking on scenic back roads, hiking on major and local trails, and in some cases the available mountain biking areas.
Occasionally, cyclists and hikers will find properties listed here that are also near a recognized bike trail or route (on-road biking) or a major hiking trail already listed in the Guide. Please be aware that in some cases the travelers are offered shuttle services by the innkeeper to and from the trail or route.
