This is a 21-mile +/- (10.5 miles out-and-back) bike trail. The West Ashley Greenway is a remarkable trail, flat and easy, the Greenway is a beautiful little trail on the edge of Charleston. The terrain is mostly a hard-packed dirt trail that starts in a residential and commercial area. It then parallels US Rt 17 past neighborhoods, schools, parks, and a marsh before reaching Johns Island and the turn-around point.
